Lakeview Dental Care's Dental Basics Boot Camp: October Session Our Boot Camp is being offered in one Session with six lessons total. Please be available for and prepared to attend every lesson to get the most of the boot camp experience! All lessons are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Arrive by 5:25pm and class will be from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. All classes are held at 61 Lakeview Drive N., Gibbsboro, NJ 08026 in the Conference Room. If you have any questions, please email. **VIRTUAL OPTION NOW AVAILABLE** SESSION DATES: Lesson 1: Tuesday, October 5th Lesson 2: Thursday, October 7th Lesson 3: Tuesday, October 12th Lesson 4: Thursday, October 14th (Administrative) Lesson 5: Tuesday, October 19th (Clinical) Lesson 6: Thursday, October 21st LESSON 1: BASIC DENTAL TERMINOLOGY I [WELCOME / LEARN OUR LANGUAGE] - Lesson Objective: Students will understand what to expect from the 5-lesson course as well as become familiar with the terminology used in a dental practice through discussion and interaction, including but not limited to: Anatomy, Operative, and Emergency. LESSON 2: ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A DENTAL TEAM [WHO IS WHO?] - Lesson Objective: Through discussion and interaction, students will become familiar with all aspects of a patient appointment, including but not limited to: professionalism, patient flow charts, and ethics. Students will also become familiar with "who' is accountable for what and "Why?". Students will also take a quick tour of Lakeview Dental Care of Gibbsboro. LESSON 3: STATS, FACTS, & MYTHS OF THE DENTAL PROFESSION - Lesson Objective: Students will become familiar with basic dental statistics, facts, and myths as well as gain knowledge of the range of salaries for each position in a dental practice. LESSON 4: ADMINISTRATIVE / FRONT DESK SPECIALIST TRAINING - Lesson Objective: Through discussion and interaction, students will learn the job description and responsibilities of a Front Desk Specialist team member. LESSON 5: CLINICAL / BASIC DENTAL TERMINOLOGY II - Lesson Objective: Through discussion and interaction, students will become familiar with additional dental terminology, including but not limited to: X-rays/exams, periodontics/prosthodontics, radiation, and sterilization.
