This is an attempt to contact anyone who adopted a kitten from a woman in south buffalo about a week ago. She charged $100 and claimed she dewormed the kittens 3 times, gave feline 3 in 1 shots and had no fleas. She refused to let me go to her house "because of covid" but happily sold me a cat infested with fleas and worms. She also adopted them out at 7 weeks of age but my vet is telling me more like 6 weeks. Legally they cannot be adopted out until 8 weeks. I thought something was strange when she barely responded to my texts and could not provide the info/proof of dewormer and vaccine info.(keep in mind my number one priority was getting the kitten) I kept getting short answers from her. I contacted her 2 days ago informing her that the kitten had 24 fleas on him and signs of worms. She got nasty with me and basically called me a liar and that "nobody else was complaining". I do not believe that for one second. I didnt notice the fleas on the first day because I figured he was itchy from dry skin or the fact he may have scratched himself up from his nails. 3 days passed and I gave him a bath to help him and a ton of fleas came off him. To charge $100 a piece for 8 kittens and NOT GIVE PROPER CARE IS DISGUSTING. She made $800 off this litter and sent them on their way with fleas. So many red flags were going off but my main concern was the safety of the kitten. Im not looking to get this woman in trouble or to "slander"her, im simply concerned about the welfare of his siblings and to bring attention to those who adopted from her. She provided no proof of the vaccine either. Please, if you bought a kitten from this person please get them checked out. If mine had fleas and worms then so does yours. Feel free to email me if you did adopt from this woman. She was located in south buffalo near mercy hospital but had her daughter meet up with me at a mcdonalds. Thank god this kitten is now in my care!
