Description
Overview:
Lulu Belle (AKA Lou) is a 18 month old Blue Heeler X Australian Shepherd. She has beautiful coloring and is very friendly with people. She seems to be more of an alpha dog when she interacts with our other dogs. I think she'd make a great family dog of she was with another calm dog or just by herself.
History, Habits and Training:
Lou was born from parents that were cousins to each other and was born deaf. She has 12% hearing in one ear and none in the other, but that hasn't stopped her from enjoying life everyday. Lou loves to run and go on walks - even staying by your side the whole way with or without a leash. She knows how to sit, come and lay down with hand signals and responds well to learning new things. She isn't house trained, but we've had her inside for hours and whenever she needs to go to the bathroom she would go to the back door and whine to be let out. She doesn't wander due to her being deaf, and will lay in whatever room you are in.
This past March (2021), one of our horses stepped on her front leg, fracturing it. She is fully healed now and it doesn't hurt her seeing as she runs and jumps just like every other dog. However, she cannot go on long hikes or runs without limping a little due to it healing a little bent. Her diet is normal and can usually self regulate if food is left out.
Needs someone who will love her and give her the life she needs. I am heartbroken to see her go, but I am leaving on a church mission and therefore cannot keep her.
Feel free to contact by text or email for questions or to come out and see if she'll be the right fit for you!
