We need to fill 2 open positions as soon as possible for a lead carpenter and carpenters assistant. Compensation is based on skill level, experience and efficiency. Fine Woodworks supplies all tools needed for contract completion. Some training will be provided to teach FWW preferred installation techniques, procedures and specifications. All new staff members receive this training regardless of experience or hired position title. Both available positions are FULL TIME, Year-Round positions. Our work/service areas are Virginia and North Carolina. Some travel is required for projects in NC and Northern VA. Fine Woodworks pays for ALL travel expenses. All applicants must hold a current, valid drivers license.   Experience required for both positions includes: *Ability to lift 50lbs and work for extended hours on your feet *Ability to identify and use small and medium hand tools and motorized tools *Ability to correctly use a measuring tape to: -identify precise measurements -calculate exact dimensions, -correctly call-out multiple measurements and dimensions *Carpentry or wood working knowledge *Experience cabinet making, fitting and installation *Finish carpentry to include casework, cladding and interior trim Typical contracts and work include corporate build-outs and remodeling at venues such as Starbucks as well as occasional private contract work in residential homes. Everyone is paid on an hourly basis. Depending on your skill level, work experience and efficiency, compensation ranges from $13 per hour for unskilled general labor to $60 per hour for skilled carpenter. There is an ongoing opportunity to rise within the company as we continue to grow.
