Description
Adventure Awaits! Learn about yourself, the world around you, and meet great people for monthly survival skills and nature walk! Nature and Survival Skills Training Experiences that enroll the mind and body in a natural setting are an integral part of healing and transformation. The need for such experiences is becoming more important with changes in both the earth and our society. Are you eager to get in to nature, meet new people in an uplifting environment, and empower yourself with self-awareness and survival skills? If so, please join us on the fourth Sunday of every month. Community Is Vital The walks are a community event. Some people come to get out of the hum-drum, others are working through challenges and are seeking support, others are there to be a support others. We’re looking for those who are interested in personal growth, community, and are interested in giving back and helping the world. What To Expect? We’re blending contemplative experiences with survival skills. We head out on a peaceful walk where we get to know one another. Each month we teach a survival skill and allow for time for going within. Some of the contemplative practices might include silence, meditation, ceremony, breathwork, sharing. Some of the surivival skills portion might include fire making, map reading, knot tying, plant sourcing, and more. Gear Up! We walk for up to 3 or 4 miles, the weather can change fast. Always pack for the unknown, bring more clothes than you think you need. Bring water and snacks. Bring smart shoes that work well with the weather. A small backpack is suggested to carry your things. Consider bugs, a facemask, and the right shoes for the season. Donation Based Event Please help us out with a donation! Your generous contribution will help us continue the walks, support the organizers, and help us pay for any survival supplies.
