Come for an evening of hope and inspiration as well as a discussion on the future of famed Glide Memorial Church. After almost two years of a pandemic, racial reckoning, economic despair, and natural disasters, join Karen Hanrahan, President and CEO of the GLIDE Foundation, and Miguel Bustos, GLIDE’s Director of GLIDE’s Center for Social Justice, for a discussion on finding hope in our current times. And as we begin to re-emerge from nearly twenty months of isolation, fear, and uncertainty, let’s discuss a new way to engage with one another, find joy and advance social justice for our communities. Brief Bio of Karen Hanrahan: For over twenty years, Karen Hanrahan has advanced human rights and built high-impact global initiatives around the world. An international human rights attorney, she has served as a senior appointee in the Obama administration, a United Nations aid worker, a corporate and non-profit executive and a thought leader in global development, social innovation and public-private partnerships. Ms. Hanrahan is an alumna of Harvard Business School, University of Washington School of Law and The American University School of International Service, Master’s program in International Peace and Conflict Resolution. In May 2018, Karen was named one of SF Business Times’ “Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business.” Brief Bio of Miguel Bustos: Born and raised in San Francisco’s Mission District, Miguel grew up steeped in community activism and dedicated himself to public service at local, national, and international levels for many years.
