Backing Vocal Singers Wanted for Original Band

Meets

Seattle WA

Description

Seattle based band is looking for a couple like minded backing vocalists to sing harmonies. We play mainly original music, and a couple covers. A good committed backing vocalist is essential, and a very underrated musician who can change a band completely, taking its sound from good to amazing. All our backing vocals are already written and just need be learned. We do music because we love it, and pride on our performance (shows are already lined up). We rehearse once every week in Lake City, but backing vocalists are only required to come every other week (welcome to all practices though). You don't need previous experience in other bands. Who we are looking for: - Someone who enjoys singing, wants to do so live, but may not be comfortable with the lead spotlight. - Someone who enjoys singing harmonies (backing vocals). - Someone who is on time for rehearsal, respectful to others and welcome/provide constructive criticism when needed. - Someone who has no ego / diva attitude and likes the music we make. - Someone who feels comfortable learning their part before coming to the rehearsal space. Materials will be provided. - Reading music is not a requirement. - If you also play guitar or piano, that's a plus, but not required. Who we are NOT looking for: - Someone who actually want to sing lead, and is hoping they will sing one or two songs at some point. - Someone who would rather create their own harmonies, instead of learning the ones on the recordings. - Someone who isn't ready to join a band, but wants to hear us telling them how great they sing (please, respect our time, there are apps where you can show the world your talents). - Someone concerned about the gender/race/age of other bandmates. We welcome everyone and accept others for who they are. If this sounds like something that could be of your interest, please contact us and include a recording of your singing. It does not need be a studio recording or anything at all elaborate or high quality, a simple phone recording will do. Video is preferred but simple audio file will suffice.
