After a year apart, we invite you to join us Thursday October 21st from 4-7pm for the 2021 Gratitude Party: Restoring Connections. For the past five years, the LA Compost community has gathered to celebrate the year of partnership, growth, and work towards a shared vision of a healthier Los Angeles. This year, however, is different. After over a year of Zoom meetings, masked smiles, and social distancing, we invite LA Compost supporters to join us in restoring the connections that were lost these past several months. You’re officially invited, Thursday October 21st from 4-7pm, to the Sixth Annual Gratitude Party: Restoring Connections. We’ll gather at the beautiful Arlington Garden in Pasadena, where the compost community also diverts food waste for over 70 households in the surrounding area. The evening will include a live DJ, food and drink by some of LA’s most delicious local vendors, a Sustainable Raffle with intentional items to aid your low waste journey, and creative activities for all ages. We’ll honor this year's Community Compost Champions as well as recognize our first ever cohort of Compost Cultivators who’ve spent the past four months developing their leadership on community compost management and advocacy. We hope you’ll join us. COVID-19 & Proof of Vaccination: In line with the requirements of most public events and spaces across our city, we graciously request all guests provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test (from the past 72 hours) to enter this event. Masks are required when visiting activity tables and food and drink stations. The above requirements serve the purpose of creating an opportunity to safely reconnect as a community.
