Description

Living Out Loud - A View from the Shoulders of Heroes: Ayn Rand, Aristotle, and more. We have amazing speakers lined up for November 5th-7th, 2021!   We will be joined by Robert Begley (of TOS), Dr. Carrie-Ann Biondi (of TOS), Luc Travers (art education expert), Marianna Davidovich (of FEE), Duncan Scott (film editor, restorer, and owner of the Italian made film of Ayn Rand's "We the Living"), and many more! These speakers will expose us to ways to further appreciate and extract inspiration from heroes, ideas, art, and film. Dr. Carrie-Ann Biondi will lead us in a Socratic Discussion of Ayn Rand's article "What Can One Do?" Please contact Cynthia Roeth at [email protected] if you have any questions or require hotel reccomendations. The requested attendance fee donation for this conference is $75.00 each (only $35.00 each if you are a speaker) which will incude light lunches (sandwiches and salads) on Saturday and Sunday and light breakfasts. Students attend free ($15.00 donation suggested for a meal). There will also be evenings of fun to include potlucks, band jam, karaoke, dancing, fire pit, and spa. Speakers will present at the Roeth home with seating for 35-40. A complete schedule will soon be available. This mini-conference will be a lovely way to connect and reconnect with kindred souls who share a love of the ideas of Ayn Rand, Aristotle, and those who endeavor to bring these ideas to life. A special program honoring the life and works of Terry Jean Taylor Bird will also be included. Mask wearing will be respected for indoor events. Cynthia Roeth is the Charcon organizer and has been married to Neil Roeth for the past 27 years and they have lived in Charlotte for the past fifteen years while raising their two children, AJ (22) and Liam (19).  They have each been students of Aristotle, Ayn Rand and art for the past few decades and explore these ideas with purpose and passion.
