This lovely girl, Bella, is near and dear to our hearts, but as she keeps digging under the fence to chase coyotes, she is not suitable to be our outdoor country dog any longer. She does not dig during the day as the digging is only triggered by outdoor predators at night. We would love to keep her indoors but alas, we have dog allergies ourselves. She is approximately four years old. Bella is a very mild mannered, sweet livestock guardian dog. She is leash-trained, knows how to sit and come when called when she is in close range, and does not jump up on you, and not aggressive. She does not respond consistently to negative reinforcement, so please use positive reinforcement and treats to encourage her. She has been kept up-to-date on shots, worming medication, has been spayed, microchipped and trained to guard poultry, waterfowl and small livestock without harming them. She is totally quiet all day when not working to ward off coyotes. Most well behaved dog we have ever had! This breed does bark all night at predators and sleeps during the day, so unless you don’t mind that, she would be well-suited to an indoor dog. Bark collars do not work on this breed to stop the barking because they were bred to protect. Excellent around children and patient. Rehoming fee of $300 would apply. We will have her washed, brushed, nails trimmed and teeth cleaned before you get her. Delivery available within 15 miles of Leander.
