Job Description Growing company seeks a high performer to join our installation team. Our company - Budget Blinds of San Leandro & S. Hayward is growing fast! As such we need additional installers out in the field on a full-time basis (32 - 40 hours a week) to install blinds, shades and shutters. Responsibilities & Duties: We are looking for Installers who can: - Show up to appointments on time, maintain professional appearance, and be respectful of the fact that you will be working in a customer’s home. - Install blinds, shades, and shutters using company supplied tools and equipment. - Accurately measure and explain the mounting of products to clients. - Understand and explain how a blind / window covering is properly operated. - Interact with customers - Must have exceptional follow through skills. Our goal is to leave each job 100% completed. If its not, you must follow the necessary processes so that each job reaches 100% completion. - Collect a positive review from each customer after the job has been completed. You get an extra $25 for each five-star review on google. Qualifications & Skills - Prior installation experience strongly desired. This may be installation of other window coverings / drapery. Those who have installed cabinets, counter tops, residential windows, or other interior carpentry should also apply. - Self-directed and able to work independently, but also able to work on a team of 2-3 people for installation of larger jobs (20+ units and commercials jobs) - Must be friendly, courteous, polite (this is very important) and pleasant with all types of clients. - Must be proficient with a tape measure and good with fractions. - Must know how to read a level and work to manipulate unlevel surfaces so that each product hangs perfectly level. - Ability to climb a ladder 8ft, 15ft, and 20ft+ - Ability to handle a cordless drill and basic hand tools - Ability to troubleshoot & problem solve. - Willingness to learn different installation techniques for various types of blinds, shades, shutters, vertical blinds, and drapery. We can teach the right person any of this. Our installers are the best in the business. We are looking for true professionals, that take pride in a job well done. Must Have - Current and valid driver’s license - Company vehicle is used for customer appointments. - No prior criminal record of any kind. If you cannot pass a background check, please do not apply. - High School Diploma or equivalent desired, but not necessary. - College Degree Preferred (and all college students are welcome to apply) - Positive Attitude & Professional Appearance – Our team members rock! You should be pleasant & fun to work with throughout the week. However, we always keep it clean & professional. We always ask if we need to take off our shoes at customer’s homes. We always say Yes Sir. No Sir. Yes Ma’am. No Ma’am. We make sure to leave each client’s home clean and proper. Our goal is five-star reviews and referrals from our customers.
