Description

I need a science expert to come to my 30th birthday party for an educational cocktail hour so all of us adults can finally understand how the moon works (and the planets, and maybe some other random science questions) After surveying my friends over the last year, I've realized everyone *thinks* they know how the moon works, but when you ask them about it they can't explain a damn thing. Could we just look it up? Sure, but this is more fun. October 16th from 4pm-5:30pm in a conference room at my building in South Loop; TV will be provided, but please do not just turn on an episode of Bill Nye to teach us. That's what my 6th grade earth science teacher did, and now look at me. Almost 30 and I know nothing about anything. The right person for the job will be very educated on moon things (this includes moon landings, maybe UFO's and also tides. Like, how in the HELL does the moon control the tides?! I hardly even believe it at this point). This person will also be non-judgmental, or at least very good at hiding their disdain. Must be fully prepared for a Q&A session with people who have been drinking. I am also open to a Bill Nye impersonator. At that point, if you've got the look and can speak with confidence, I'm not concerned about how accurate your information is.
