Lucky needs a home

Lucky is a male, neutered American Pit Bull Terrier mix. He is 7 years old. Lucky belonged to my husband's brother who died suddenly. His wife did not want the dog and took him to the pound. My husband and I couldn't handle that emotionally and we went and picked him up. We knew he had lived outside his whole life but we also knew he was a sweet boy. Lucky has super sweet disposition. He lives with our other dog in harmony. He likes a lot of affection. He likes sitting with us on the couch but if we say no, he obeys. We take him on a mile plus walk daily. He can't go much longer because he has some arthritis in his hips. We did not realize that Lucky was not house trained. He caught on to our doggie door pretty quickly. He mostly gets it but it's not 100%. We have had to replace a couple of rugs and the carpet in in one of the the bedrooms. If someone has a place to contain him or work with him on crate training, it would probably work out. Or if someone has an area where he could stay outside, that would work too.
