I'm not a historian, plus I'm looking at things from a biased point of view. Perhaps young people, and many not so young don't have a good understanding of what Socialism and Communism is. It is my understanding that Communism was started in the early 1900s by a small group of pseudo-intellectuals. Some if not all of these men were solders under the Russian tzar.(King) Now none of these men had the ability to take over their country by themselves, so they put together a group of military people who promised equity for the masses. They figured on doing this by taking what the wealthy folks had, keeping it in the hands of the state, and allowing the commoners access to that wealth. When they finally pulled it off, they fought among themselves for the power, went around killing the folks that opposed them, and thrust the country into poverty. As now, there was little motivation for people to work to contribute to the welfare of the country. If any of this sounds familiar it's because the same thing is happening HERE and NOW. The people that claim to do for the good of the people, are trying to confiscate the wealth to bring prosperity to themselves. At the expense of the future prosperity of the people. So here you have it. In a NUTSHELL. What communism is all about. If you disagree, I would love to read your post. Thanks, Bill.
