My Trip to Kemet (Egypt), Africana Studies, and Black Liberation. Yes, family I am in Afrika doing field and educational research about Kemet, (Egypt)-the world's oldest and greatest documented civilization. The 2021 Kemet Nu Educational Know They Self Tour Sponsored by Professors Ashra and Merira Kwesi -the legendary teachers of Egyptology (the scientific study on Egyptian history, culture, and spirituality) and history. Final Entry Day 13: Our Kemetic studies concluded with a galabia / Afrikan garb party. We celebrated the completion our field work and classroom lectures. The participants that endured graduate training in Kemet's history, culture, and spiritual traditions received certificates from the master teachers Ashra and MeriRa Kwesi. Although I am overwhelmed with pride knowing that Kemet played a major role in the development of the world's civilizations and religions, but I can't help my feelings of frustration. Looking at the oppressive plight of my Black people, I know that many us have become disconnected to our Afrikan history and culture through white and Arab supremacy. Unfortunately, we can not see our legacy's impact on the world. More importantly, because we fail to connect to own our Afrikan cultural traditions, particularly Afrikan Kemetic cultural traditions, we remain mentally oppressed in America and in the world. Without a knowledge of Afrikan history and culture as a foundation for Black liberation, we continue to be scattered all over the planet blindly following every word of our former slave masters and colonizers. As a consequence, we continue to build a world for our oppressors. The term Kemet is Medu Neter for land of the Blacks. It was ancient Black people that helped to place humanity on the road to progressive change in the world. If we as contemporary Black will tap into our ancient cultural genetic code, we will again speak our cultural truth to remake a world for the better, especially the Afrikan world community. If fail to do these things, we will remain the permanent underclass in America and in the world forever.
