LOS ANGELES, CA — A man in South Los Angeles was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday. The vehicle was going westbound at about 3 a.m. on Florence Avenue when it struck the pedestrian, who was walking northbound on Central Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department reported. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The driver stayed at the scene to cooperate with police. —City News Service
