Press release from City of Fremont: September 24, 2021 Join the City of Fremont for an outdoor community event to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of the Downtown Event Center & Plaza on Friday, October 8 from 4:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. The Downtown Event Center & Plaza consists of a 13,400-square-foot community center and one-acre plaza located on the corner of Capitol Avenue and State Street. The space includes three meeting rooms varying in size from approximately 4,100 square feet to 1,200 square feet, a catering kitchen, restroom facilities, a large welcoming lobby/gathering space of 2,900 square feet, and an outdoor plaza and patio. There will be live music, Fremont Street Eats, and guided event center tours. One food voucher offered per person for the first 400 attendees.
