Description
I purchased a betta fish online and they sent me two. So I had to scramble to get another set-up together. One of the fish, after nearly 2 years got sick. I was going to keep this and use it for a salt water nano tank, but changed my mind. I used white sand for substrate and I have attached a picture of the remaining tank. It's a bit cloudy still, since I scrubbed out the one for sale, I did the same to the remaining tank (lighting is at mid day) and combined the sand and plants. I only use live plants, hence the nice lighting.
10G set-up kit was (tank, filter, heater, cheap sticker thermometer and a cheap plastic hood with 4 led lights)
$50
I replaced the hood with a glass canopy
$30
I replaced the lighting with a 24" FENNEX, which can be used for fresh or salt and yes, it will grow corals. It has a simulated day programmed into it. You never have to turn it off or on. (I never used this remote as stated above, I had 2 of these tanks) Link below.
