The city stopped recycling glass more than five years ago after running out of users willing to accept the bulky material, leading to significant portions of glass collecting in landfills. Savannah and Glass WRX SC are discussing a potential solution: recycling glass into air and water filtration systems, road surfaces, and prefabricated interior walls. The FDA, the CDC, and the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) have all recommended that at-risk groups, including people 65 years or older and adults with underlying health conditions, receive boosters six months after their second dose.
