Male Cockatiel

Description

I have an almost 2 year old male cockatiel for re-home. His history. I purchased him from a bird fair earlier this year. When I had the opportunity to get a female cockatiel, the breeder I purchased from informed me this bird killed a female before. So 3 months later, we got another cockatiel, this one for my wife to bond with (as this bird was supposed to be hers, but he bonded with me). After quarantine period for the new bird, we did neutral introductions. Everything seemed great all day. We did supervised free flight and everything went great for about an hour. Then my bird snapped and attacked a budgie and then the new cockatiel... Currently, he is in our bedroom. Then next day after the attack, his cage was still in the bird room. Anytime I had to reach in his cage, he bit at me harder than he ever has. The next day I put him in the bedroom and he was back to his sweet self. With my work situation, it's not fair to the bird to be trapped in the bedroom all day and only getting free time when I get home. It's also not fair to my wife and kids that I spend my free time in the bedroom with the bird. He is not a flock bird, he is a solo bird. He does well in his cage, but he prefers to be out lol. As long as we were home, his door is open. He can whistle a few tunes. He does Addams Family and the cat call whistle. He says pretty bird and whose a pretty bird. We have been working on peekaboo and uhoh. This was a hard decision, but he deserves more attention than unfortunately I can give, and we don't trust him with the flock. Re-home fee of $350 firm. This includes the cockatiel, his big cage and a smaller travel cage. I'll even include some food and millet. Any questions please message me. My time is a little hectic right now, so planning will be very important. Thank you for looking at my pretty bird.
