Established Portland Death Metal Band (Dead Nexus) is looking for a drummer that has some experience with double bass and blast beats. Like many bands covid has changed peoples priorities and thus we are on the hunt for new members. Due to most venues requiring attendees to be fully vaccinated we are now requiring all members to be vaccinated or in the process of becoming fully vaccinated. Dead Nexus is an extreme Death Metal band that has been rocking the NW for the better part of the last 10yrs. Our line up has changed over the years but we are determined to keep playing music. We are in the process of finishing our newest album. There may be time to be featured on it. Our main goals are to be back on stage and write/record new music (especially with a new line up). We aim to practice once or twice a week in PDX at Puddletown on killingsworth. Once ready we usually play a live show once a month in PDX or the greater NW. Must have decent equipment (or ability to obtain quickly) and have reliable transportation. The practice spot has a house kit for use at practice but must bring your own cymbals. For existing songs we are more than happy to have drummers make the song their own. There is no requirement to play the songs as they are on our albums. Each of our previous drummers have brought there own style. We have a lot of material to help with learning the existing songs, tabs, isolated tracks etc. Don't be intimated by how technical the music is. We are happy to help you learn at your own pace.
