Description
In April/May 1983 someone brought a beautiful spayed female Weimaraner to a local shelter. She was approximately 1-2 years of age, housebroken, well fed, well trained and obviously had been cared for and loved. She was taken out of the shelter and wound up in North Shore Animal League, where she was adopted by me.
That began the wonderful and amazing journey of our life together. I was honored to have had the opportunity to love and care for you for the next 12 years. I always wondered where you had come from, what turn in life had caused you to be brought to a shelter, and wished I could have thanked your previous family for affording me the chance that brought us together.
It's been 28 years since you have been gone, but not a day goes by that I don't glance at your photo and think of our "once in a lifetime love and friendship." There have been others since your departure but you, my Gracie girl, were the shining star of my life and always will be.
If anyone happens to know of someone who might have been her previous owners please let them know that her life, and mine, was all the better for that decision they had to make so many years ago. I don't know who you are, but I am forever thankful to you for having changed my life.
