Velvet Chains is an original Las Vegas rock band. Our genre is rock/grunge/alternative. Our influences are Guns N' Roses, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Green Day, etc. Our recently released record 'Icarus' features collabs with musicians such as Richard Fortus (Guns N' Roses), Mike Squires (Duff McKagan's Loaded) and Jeff Rouse (Duff McKagan's Loaded). We also did a music video directed/produced by Dean Karr (Iron Maiden, Marilyn Manson, Velvet Revolver, etc). Our songs are co-written with a well known song-writer out of Los Angeles. While we are independently signed (under our own record label) and self-managed, we have our own professional recording studio, a booking agency, PR agencies in multiple countries, a radio distributor, a social media agency, a full time roadie, and an online streaming distributor. We have multiple upcoming gigs already booked and are currently planning festivals for 2022 (and possibly a tour - domestic and/or international. We travel to LA often for band business, gigs, and fun (concerts, festivals, photoshoots, etc). All expenses are fully covered and you will be paid for gigs. We have decided to take the band in a different direction and are currently looking for a kick ass lead singer. Having the ability to play rhythm guitar is a plus but not a deal breaker. Please be aware that our songs tend to have a high register so it's important that you're able to hit those Chris Cornell / Axl Rose notes. We've also recently started working on our next record, so if you enjoy being part of the creating/writing process that's a big plus! Here's what we're looking for: - Have a full time job or steady income. - Must have experience gigging live. - You must have the ability to play gigs on weekends and travel when necessary (with enough advance notice). - No substance abuse or addiction problems. - Strong work ethic. - No politics/religion whatsoever. - Age between 25 and 45 (exceptions can be made for outstanding talent). - Image is extremely important for us, you must look rock & roll and be height/weight proportional (no exceptions). - High emotional intelligence required and you must have the ability to be respectful to one another. - No egos please. - Don't be a covers-hater. Even though we're an original band, we do enjoy throwing in a few covers while gigging. - Have a huge passion for music!
