POSITION DESCRIPTION Facilities Assistant This position reports to the facilities supervisor who will provide ongoing supervision and input on the employee’s job performance to the facilities director. Accuracy, follow-through, dependability, and a pleasant demeanor that is supportive, enthusiastic, and engaging to staff, newcomers, and volunteers are essentials. • This position requires a professional and welcoming manner to support the overall objectives of Christ Church. Primary responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness and function of the properties. To include: • Light and heavy cleaning, such as vacuuming carpets, washing floors, emptying trash, shampooing carpets, heavy dusting, cleaning and arranging storage spaces, deep cleaning kitchens, waxing floors, cleaning ovens and refrigerators, keeping outside perimeter of properties clean; • Heavy lifting (at least 50 lbs.) to include moving furniture, boxes, tables, snow removal, and using equipment, such as a lawn mower, and power washer; • Basic maintenance and repair to include scraping and painting, minor plumbing repair, minor electrical repair, hanging doors, replacing light bulbs; • Function set-up to include setting up and tearing down tables, moving furniture, preparing beverages, washing dishes, post-event cleaning; • Function support, such as cleaning during an event, emptying trash, refilling beverage containers; • Other duties as assigned
