Americana-Roots-Rock Project

Description
I am seeking to form or join an eclectic project that dabbles in just about any genre of music, but with firm roots in Americana and rock. The band would ideally consist of 2 guitars with some acoustic, keys, a female lead/backup vox, drums and pedal steel. A multi instrumentalist would also be great. The band would start with covers but I am interested in working on originals as well. Some of the bands that I am interested in covering or influence me are Wilco, Jayhawks, Son Volt, Dead, Neil Young, CSNY, MMJ, Pink Floyd, Stones, Alison Krauss, Norah Jones, Gillian Welch, Allman Brothers, Tyler Childers, Chris Stapleton and of course all of the other standard 60-70's rock bands. I grew up in the 90's and those bands still interest me, and certainly wouldn't mind playing a select few songs that make sense. A little about me........I am in my mid 40's and have been playing guitar for about 25 years and have played in a few cover and original bands. I am not a shredder on the guitar, but I am a good solid player, with a style that is somewhere between Neil and Jerry without being remotely close to playing like either! I play a little bit of lap steel as well and have mediocre vocals, but have about 10 tunes I can carry on my own. I have a basement "studio" with more than enough amps, drums, keyboards, guitars, basses, etc. that you can just show up and play. While I am no studio engineer, I have a recording setup to multitrack rehearsals. I thoroughly enjoy mixing down recordings and sending them out to the band. What I am expecting/hoping for.........a group of people in their 30's to 50's that are looking to have fun and commit to getting together 2-3 times a month. Ultimately, I would like to play out maybe once a month with a solid set. I must admit that I am the type that enjoys rehearsal more than playing live, but I definitely want to do some select shows. I have venues that I can book at in 2022. I want to have fun, not be too serious, not deal with egos, and have some camaraderie with like minded musicians. A lot of the time, jams at my place start or end with grilling and hanging. If this sounds like you, let me know. Or, if you have a project already started and need a guitar player, let me know!
