No Last Call is Harrisburg's grooviest, hippest, most dangerous street band! Want to play with us? On Sunday, Oct. 3, at 5:00 pm, we are having our first-ever open invitation to play along with NLC. It’s an outdoor, safely distanced, no-pressure opportunity to play w/Harrisburg’s weirdest community band. We welcome all brass, wind and percussion players. Bring your own instrument & music stand (or lyre). We’ll provide the sheet music. We’ll be outdoors on the south end of City Island – rain or shine – so dress accordingly. If it’s raining, we’ll move into the garage. Some basic rules: You must be 23 or older. You must be able to read music and play at least at an intermediate level (we generally play HS band-level music.) We are a welcoming, inclusive organization and seek people of all ages, colors, creeds, and identities. Nice-to-haves: A sense of humor, a love of music and performance… and a desire for attention. If you wish to attend send us a message w/your instrument so we can have music ready for you. Attending this event will not guarantee an invitation to officially join NLC. We are, however, looking for new players in all sections (ESPECIALLY PERCUSSION) and this will be the first step towards an invitation to membership.
