Join Midwest Food Connection for a lesson on how to cook wild rice and its significance to Minnesota's Native communities.
In this interactive hands-on lesson with Midwest Food Connection, children will learn how to cook wild rice, practice the different steps of a wild rice harvest, and ultimately assemble their personal wild rice bowl. Meanwhile, we will study the wild rice plant, the clean water it needs, and its significance to Minnesota’s Native people. Best for kids aged 5 to 12 years.
Ticket proceeds will be donated to Midwest Food Connection. Thank you for supporting their mission to empower youth to make healthy choices for their bodies, their communities, and the land!
Space is limited. Registration closes the day before the class.
