This month's book: Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle by Emily Nagoski & Amelia Nagoski Price of Ticket Includes: - Monthly book discussion group on facebook (Check out the page here!) - Admission on Monday October 25th at 6pm with one complimentary drink at Angeles Brewing ***** COVID-19 Guidelines Update***** Proof of Full Vaccination Required: Hello all! I wanted to provide an update on Clallam County COVID-19 guidelines and how they will play into our little book club. As we will be meeting at Angeles Brewing and Taproom, proof of full vaccination (meaning completion of 2nd dose for Moderna and Pfizer/ 1st for Johnson & Johnson on or before September 13th) will be required for entry into the event. ******* ******** ****** Why name a bookclub "Leaning Into..." you ask? The name and phrase represents engaging in something whole heartedly, embracing both the negative and positive emotions that come up and finding perservance through that discomfort and growth. Why Come? Good Question! Have you ever read a book and would have loved the opportunity to share and discuss what you felt and learned from it? How it challenged you? Then this is the place! About Kelly, your fearless facilitator: Kelly Newhouse, MS, LMHC is a licensed mental health therapist with a Master’s in Substance Abuse and Clinical Counseling. She lived and worked in North Carolina for eight years before packing up and moving west! After a quick pit stop in Seattle, she found Port Angeles calling and have been lucky to call this place home since 2021. Kelly has worked with mental health, substance abuse and dual diagnosis clients across a variety of counseling platforms. Over the last five years, she have transitioned over to working mainly with those in the realm of mental health. Kelly finds this field one of the most exciting and most rewarding careers and am grateful everyday to be a small piece of it. Kelly currently working with adolescents and adults, providing a welcoming environment that promotes change, validation and empowerment. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, trying out every coffee hut she can find, hiking, spending time with family and trying to convince her dog, Charli to go for a walk.
