The NoMa BID's annual family-friendly PumpkinPalooza is back! PumpkinPalooza is back! Join the NoMa Business Improvement District on Thursday, October 28th from 4-7 p.m. at Alethia Tanner Park for live entertainment, food, music, a seasonal scavenger hunt and, of course, our "pick-your-own” pumpkin patch! This year's event will also include the return of our kid's costume contest, sponsored by Red Bear Brewing Co. and special performance by award-winning children's entertainer, The Great Zucchini. Don't miss out on this free, family-friendly event! Please be sure to register here to reserve your pumpkins (one per person). A limited number of "day-of" pumpkins will be available at the event while supplies last. Other important things to note: By registering for this event, you will be reserving one pumpkin. Only one pumpkin is allowed per person. All reserved pumpkins will be held until 6:30 PM. Reserved pumpkins that are not claimed by this time will be released to other guests. If your family needs more than one pumpkin, please be sure to register for multiple tickets. A limit of three pumpkins per family will be imposed until we release all unclaimed pumpkins at 6:30pm. Parents, please ensure your children are supervised at all times.Dogs are more than welcome, but they must be well-behaved and on a leash. There is also a separate dog park at Alethia Tanner Park where your dog can play off leash! In case of inclement weather, the event will take place on Friday, October 29th from 4pm-7pm.We look forward to seeing you on October 28th!! NoMa is a vibrant, growing neighborhood in Washington, DC, nestled among Union Station, the US Capitol, Shaw, Union Market, and the H Street NE corridor. Already, NoMa has almost 22 million square feet of commercial, residential and retail space, and each day, even during the current public health emergency, NoMa’s commercial core remains active with workers, residents and visitors, and the NoMa BID helps to encourage people to practice safe social distancing and to wear masks. Through a public-private partnership with the D.C. government, the neighborhood has received great new parks and public spaces. NoMa is also the city’s most connected neighborhood, with a Walk Score of 92, stellar cycling infrastructure, unparalleled rail options, two Metro stops, and vehicular access to major highways. The NoMa BID organizes and sponsors dozens of free community events each year and also maintains a free outdoor WiFi network. For more information, visit nomabid.org and sign up for our newsletter.
