Night Photography in Washington, DC Join us for an evening of night photography on the National Mall in Washington, DC. Leading this event will be Robert Fawcett and Carol Ward. We will meet and begin near the Lincoln Memorial at 6:00pm, capturing some of the ambient light after sundown. From there walking along the National Mall, capturing as many of the monuments and memorials that we can, ending at the U.S. Capitol. The lights on the monuments are a magical sight to capture. The walk is an easy flat walk of 2.5 miles and all participants must be physically capable to walk this distance carrying their photography gear. We suggest knowing how to set your camera up to employ auto bracketing. We will provide guidance for the best possible settings for night photography. Cost for the event is $135 and Registration is via Eventbrite in order to secure your spot. You are not registered until your ticket is purchased. Equipment needed is a DSLR or mirrorless camera, wide angle zoom lens, sturdy tripod, remote shutter release. No refunds unless the event is canceled by the organizers. If you sign up and are not able to attend you can find someone to take your place and work out the payment with them. In the event of rain, the following evening will be the rain date.
