In this 4 week experience, Dr. Jen you will introduce you to simple practices using your breath to calm the busy mind and lower your stress. Learn how to shift your stress response from being on “high alert” to rest, repair and reset through the power (and science!) of meditation and breath. If the body is in a constant state of stress… it cannot heal, find deep rest, or even have a healthy immune response! Through these practices, you are peeling away the layers of conditioning that keep you stuck. Through mediation and the breath, you reconnect to your source and become calmer, clearer and happier. In this 4 week experience, Dr. Jen you will introduce you to simple practices using your breath to calm the busy mind and find your own stillness and peace. Each week, Dr. Jen will lead you through a mediation breath experience and show you how to incorporate these teachings into your busy life. Dr. Jennifer Horton has practiced family medicine for 18 years, focusing now on functional-integrative health. She is a certified yoga and meditation teacher, completing 200 Hour Radiant Body Yoga (2020) and Registered Yoga School 200 certification (2014), along with 500 hour Masters of Wisdom Meditation Teacher with Davidji (2017). She is now working on her 500 hour Radiant Body Yoga certification. I am a family physician specializing in Functional Medicine.  I integrate the best of traditional Western medical practices with innovative Functional Medicine lab testing and a whole person approach, to personalize treatment plans and get to the root cause of a patient's concerns.
