Dinner # 4 - Tale of two "Takes" will focus on two of the wild local mushrooms available right now in New Hampshire. Maitake and Matsutake
For the fourth dinner in our series, we decided to stay with what is available locally from the forest. Just so happens that we live in an awesome area where we can harvest some of the most sought after wild mushrooms on the planet.
Matsutakes (Tricholoma Magnivelare) Harvested by my Nephew in the Berlin area, are mushrooms that are sold for crazy high prices in some marketplaces, unfortunately for me, they sell for the same price as most other wild mushrooms around here.
Hen of the Woods (Grifola Frondosa) Harvested by me, in Brentwood, is a favorite of many. It has about the best texture that any mushroom can have, and can be used in place of meat in many dishes.
Chef Keith will work his magic again and wow your taste buds, and satiate your appetites, while I ramble on about mushrooms, and try to sound interesting.
We look forward to having you in our place.
