Join us for a pan dulce and poetry day with BLCI Alumna and author of Pan Dulce for the Latinx Soul, Sinai Cota. We will only be allowing a maximum of 55 guests to this event. The first 20 guests to register will be in the multipurpose room watching and listening to Sinai and other guests live, and the rest of the guests will be placed in other BLCI classrooms to watch the event stream live on a projector. All guests will have the opportunity to interact with the author before or after the event. You will be notified via email which room you will be located in. Guests are also invited to participate in an opportunity drawing with a wide selection of items. Tickets will be sold at the event and only contactless payments will be accepted (debit/credit card, checks). Prices for tickets will be 1=$5, 3=$12, 5=$20. Sinai will be selling copies of her book at the event for $12. There will also be t-shirts for sale from Thirty & Flirty (local Barrio Logan small business) for $22. All proceeds from the opportunity drawing, book sells, and t-shirt sells will go toward scholarships for BLCI students. The event will take place at the BLCI site: 2114 National Ave. San Diego, CA 92113 on October 10, 2021 from 1-2:30pm. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and for the safety of all we will follow strict guidelines. COVID-19 guidelines and policies enforced at event: - Mask will be worn at all times - Temperatures will be taken before entering facility - Self symptom check in will be required - No food or drinks allowed
