Description

Explore what "Fierce" means to you in this latest Buzz Session! Being “Fierce” is a hot topic these days, but what does that really mean? Fierce as strong, brave, confident, risk-takerFierce as scary, intimidatingFierce as lifting 25 lbs at the gymFierce as standing up for our beliefsFierce for surviving traumaFierce for living life as ourselves...Problem is, “fierce” is becoming another hashtag trend, and we can hit up against the bossy/”who does she think she is?” biases when we try to live our version of fierce. So, in this latest Buzz Session, we will explore how “being fierce” can help us show up in our lives, so we can bring our true selves to our work, our family and most of all – ourselves. Buzz Sessions are a unique combination of happy hour + story sharing + mini-workshop. Three “fierce” women will join us to share their stories: Teresa Sande, talent executive (formerly of Cargill, UnitedHealth Group and Optum) diversity coach and author of “Find Your Fierce. Interrupt Imposter Syndrome and Own Your Success” Tracy Moore, a firefighter in the Minneapolis Fire Department for 20+ years, who has now written her first novel “The Fire She Fights” about women in the fireforce Junita Flowers, founder of Junita's Jar, Ted speaker and advocate of women who have survived domestic abuse. Along with Laura Best, founder of Passion Collective, they’ll explore: How we can embrace the idea of being fierce, while also being ourselvesWhat “fierce” looks like for us in our daily lives, and ways we can live itThe relationship of being fierce with reflection, intention and mindfulnessYou will hear Junita, Teresa and Tracy’s stories, their practical advice, and participate in a mini-workshop so that you get time to reflect on your “Fierce.” We’ll also have some surprise guests from Passionados sharing their passions with us, and as usual, delicious snacks and drinks. Join us! This event will be held at The Annex, a gorgeous women-owned venue in Minneapolis. https://www.attheannex.com/ Already a member of On Demand? You get in FREE! We're the community of women who are making our own paths.   Passion Collective helps women make positive change happen, whether that's finding more fulfilling work, navigating a career transition, discovering more meaningful ways to spend our spare time, creating new friendships or getting healthier... we are trying to be the best we can be.   Even as life gets busier, we often crave the right opportunity to help other women. Yet, we also seek guidance for our own journeys. It’s not a one-way street. So - we're building a trusted community that shares ideas, builds courage and grows knowledge. Together.
