Description

Black Art Conversations - a free in-person public video-streamed event encompassing curated discussions about the creative sector. A 3-part series of moderated discussions and live performances showcasing local independent Black artists, intersecting cultures, spanning generations to celebrate the emerging works they've produced and their experiences in the industry. The event is organized by Shekhinah B. and supported in part by Creative Philadelphia (Office of Arts Culture and the Creative Economy) and The Rotunda. You must register to attend, seating is limited due to COVID restrictions. Free Event| Creative Industry Perspectives | Connecting Communities NO VENDORS COVID Safety Guidelines & Precautions - 50 people MAX will be permitted in the venue during each event. This includes the audience, staff, and performers/presenters/vendors. Each event organizer must discuss this with me; we have to figure out how many performers/presenters/staff members you have and deduct that from 50. In terms of how we can ensure only 50 people are in the room, we can discuss ways that make sense for your event but the two easiest ways are simply setting out a certain number of chairs or registering people ahead of time. - Everyone over the age of 2 will be required to wear masks indoors, regardless of vaccination status. Naturally, people will not be wearing masks while eating, drinking, applying/removing stage makeup, or singing. However, masks will be required when not engaged in those activities. - Performers/presenters and attendees will be asked to stay home if they feel unwell or have been in contact with someone diagnosed with Covid within 14 days of the event. - Event organizers or the venue will register attendees and performers/presenters ahead of time or at the front desk, depending on the event, and will require them to alert us if they become sick after the event so that we can let everyone else know. - When planning an event, we should factor in time for performers/presenters to go outside for fresh air. - We will be wiping down shared surfaces, mics, amps, etc between events, and will air out the venue after each event. - We will have clear signage around the venue, provided by Replica, a Penn vendor whose signage is all around campus. - We have masks, hand sanitizer, and gloves. We're more than happy to share when needed but we ask that event organizers take their own supplies for personal use so as not to deplete our supply. Creative Cultural Producer, Workshop Facilitator, Vocal Performer, and Art Economic Empowerment Presenter.
