Press release from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office: September 17, 2021 Jefferson County, CO. – Just before midnight on September 16, 2021, deputies responded to the 17100 block of Mount Vernon Rd on the call of a disturbance. When deputies arrived they observed flames on one of the residences and contacted an adult female outside. The female was transported to a hospital with serious injuries unrelated to the fire. Pleasant View Fire Department, Golden Fire Department, Fairmount Fire, as well as West Metro Fire Department all assisted in extinguishing the fire. Investigators verified there was one deceased individual inside the residence. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office will determine the identity of the deceased.
