We have a papered (never submitted for AKC but paperwork is available to do so) 2.5 year old male Rottweiler named Louie. He’s a gorgeous dog, perfect temperament. He loves my kids- from infant to 14. Crate and potty trained. Excitable around other dogs but not aggressive ever. He’s right at 100 lbs. Wonderful with all people- we have a company that comes and walks him with different employees often, and he loves everyone. Very treat driven for training, but we didn’t do enough training/socializing when he was younger so he is rambunctious. I do not want to rehome him. However, I’ve developed allergies to him and my infant is asthmatic which is causing a lot of concern. With 4 kids, he doesn’t get the exercise, and care that he needs. I will be very particular about finding the perfect fit. Must have a yard or schedule to accommodate multiple walks for exercise. He likes to spend most of his time inside, but loves walks and open areas to run for zoomies time. I would not be comfortable with him around cats as I’ve seen him hunt small animals in our backyard. Must be able to secure veterinarian care and continue his upkeep- he takes a heart worm preventative monthly (approx $50 for 3 month supply), a tick/flea/mite preventative quarterly (approx $30 quarterly) and is currently on round of antibiotic ear drops for an ear infection that will require a follow up for continued care. He needs someone able to groom him regularly. Since he’s so large, that’s been my biggest Challenge, and it’s expensive to have him bathed professionally. I would love someone that is open to letting myself and kids visit with him occasionally. I will attach photos. He’s a gorgeous dog (doesn’t have the smushed up face) has a beautiful coat, and again his temperament is better than most any other dog I’ve had in my lifetime. He will counter surf for snacks - that’s his biggest flaw.
