Know Your Rights Workshop Presented by Elizabeth Kim

The City of Davis Police Accountability Commission is hosting a workshop for all community members, designed to help with understanding rights during encounters with law enforcement and guidance on how to be safe, invoke rights in a safe manner, and avoid harm to self and to others.
The presenter, Elizabeth (Liz) Kim, is a civil rights lawyer and legal consultant who specializes in diversity at the California Department of Justice. Ms. Kim is also a professor of social justice studies at American River College. She has conducted thousands of Know Your Rights training sessions throughout the region and nation over the past 10 years.
