Join our growing forestry team! We're currently hiring a heavy equipment operator. This position is primarily for operating a road side brusher/masticator. These brushers are mounted on New Holland tractors. This position is not limited to road side brushing/masticating work. The operator will have the opportunity to run and gain experience on different kinds of equipment depending on the project including: CAT 312F CAT D6K CAT D7 Kubota GX6 CAT 126 Grader JD 690 JD 5 The operator must have a valid drivers license with no restrictions. Specific equipment training will be provided. Experience in forestry equipment operation is preferred and will result in higher starting pay. CDL holders will also receive higher starting pay. However, we are willing to train the right candidate. Our shop is in Sweet Home, but the operator may live anywhere in the Cascades/Willamette area since the work requires traveling to various projects. Much of the work this year will be in the greater Oakridge area. The operator will typically travel directly to the project site from home each day. After training and probation the operator will be able to choose their own schedule and days worked depending on project. 40+ hours a week. During summer expect to work 50+ hours with no lack of available overtime hours.
