Megan is a 27 year old au pair from England. She is currently looking after a baby with a family on the East Coast. She would love the opportunity to live in California for her second year. ​Current Host Family's Comments​ Our son absolutely loves playtime with Megan! She is so good at coming up with new, fun and educational activities for him to learn and grow. Right now, she's teaching our son about tidying up so he helps her put the pillows away on the couch and puts his toys away into their storage bins. Because she brings so much experience working at a daycare for several years in England, she is constantly teaching us and our son new things we would have never thought of. She taught him to say "please" in British sign language, blow kisses, play peek a boo, wave "bye bye," safely get down the stairs, and listen to all sorts of directions. The number of milestones she has helped him meet are countless! She sings him amazing British children's songs with interactive hand motions that he loves almost every day. She also paints with him - they're always making greeting cards for every birthday, anniversary, etc. All the grandparents love the cards! Megan also occasionally bakes with our son. While he “kneads” his own dough, Megan will make British scones or an apple crisp that we all love. It's really special to see Megan and our son together, it's a true bond! ​Infant and Adult CPR trained ​Infant qualified Special Needs qualified​ ​Over 10 years childcare experience, with ages between 0-16. Many different childcare qualifications, such as, level 3 diploma in childcare, sign language and pediatric first aid. ​Deputy Manager of a Daycare in England​ ​Native English speaker​ Experienced driver Enjoys cooking and baking ​Loves being creative​ This is a full-time, live-in position: 45 hours per week, just over $9 per hour (per family, not per child) Au pairs can also do light housekeeping, laundry, and cooking related to the children.
