Fast paced Diesel Truck Repair Shop currently looking for Shop Assistant/Parts Chaser. We offer health care and other benefits. Competitive wages based on experience. The position is full time (40 Hrs.). Opportunity for advancement. Duties/ Responsibilities: Pick up parts from vendors in the Salem and Portland areas. Assist in delivery and return of parts and/or cores to vendors. General shop clean up. Perform miscellaneous tasks, as needed. Assist mechanics with larger jobs, as needed. Perform basic preventative maintenance services on trucks, as needed. Qualifications: Valid driver's license with clean driving record. CDL a plus, but not required. Pass a drug screening and background check. Diesel experience a plus, but not required. Self-motivated with good decision-making skills. Must be able lift 50 lbs. Must be able to follow directions.
