You're excused for thinking superficially it's just how you are. The deal between France & Australia was many years in development, allies working together not only on an important trade deal but mutual security. It comes as no surprise France being blindsided by the US without any notification from either us or Australia on a deal they'd been working on for all those years were rightfully upset. Any of us would be hurt when allies under cut one another. It's not the superior capability of a nuclear power sub over diesel powered, it's the lack of respect between allies that is at the heart of the problem. Had Australia told the French 6 months ago they out of due diligence needed to look at a better alternative the French though disappointed would have respected the Aussies reasoning. Instead the Biden Administration not only pulled the rug on them but embarrassed them internationally. You don't do that to friends let alone allies. Biden could have alerted the French if the Aussies wouldn't but he wanted the $50 Billion dollar deal for our military industrial complex more than good relations with France. Trump supporters care about international relations that at the very least create equal accountability among nations where as you a Biden supporter only care about yourself and your virtue signally appearance. For years Democrat like you bemoaned how Trump damaged relations with our NATO allies particularly when it came time for them to pay what they agreed to. Biden on the other hand in less than a month has fucked over our NATO allies in Afghanistan and France in particular over a trade deal. England's Parliament censored Biden over his disastrous Afghanistan pull out and now undermining the French who withdrew their Ambassador to the US. None of these things happened while Trump was President. Biden has proven himself incompetent and an underhanded backstabber in less than one month internationally which I don't recall any prior President ever doing. That's his reputation that will be hung on his shingle. Biden is one colossal clusterfuck of a President that's for sure! First, you took Ms. Psaki's comments out of context. But I guess you do that a lot because it makes you look good. I can take words Jesus allegedly said out of context and make him look like he worked for the devil. So have a good time with that. Do you know any of the details about this "deal" with the Aussies? The French wanted to sell the Aussies diesel-powered subs. We sold them nuclear-powered subs. THAT'S why the Aussies tool the US deal instead of the French deal. Did we act in good faith, likely not. But THAT'S the reason why France lost out. We didn't undercut them. We just had better technology for the same price. And since when has anyone who follows Trump given a shit about France? Really clawing for anything aren't we? Hypocrites.
