We are looking for a new home for our beautiful 18-month-old cockatiel. Her name is Charlie. She is a white-faced pearl pied cockatiel and we bought her as a baby from TC Feathers Aviary in Fairfax. She comes with her large cage, perches, toys, and a large bag of food. We are a military family and will be moving in the near future. We believe she is a female because she is showing some nesting behaviors but we do not have proof. She takes some time to get used to new people but with the right socialization and time she can build a strong bond with someone. In full disclosure Charlie is not a super cuddly bird but she is very smart and very social. She is usually pretty quiet in my daughter's room, never makes a peep at night, and is vocal in social situations. She can say "Hi Charlie" and sings a few simple tunes. We are looking for a kind, responsible, stable home for her. There is a rehoming fee of $275 for Charlie, her cage, and supplies. We want to meet interested parties and reserve the right to decline rehoming if we feel it is not a good fit.
