Description
Be part of fast movin and straight shootin fiber optic installation crew. Performing retrofit installation of PVC and PEX conduit pathways, outdoor enclosures, fiber optic cable and fiberjacks in existing apartment buildings. No experience with fiber optic splicing necessary.
Work inside apartment units, apartment attic spaces and outside during enclosure and riser installation. Organize, manage, label and administer multiple fiber stands and endpoints during installation. Occasional hot shots onto our commercial jobsites.
Work with the following: 24' ladders, various hand tools such as screwdrivers, tubing cutter, channel locks, battery-op drills, sawzall, oscillating saw and drivers.
Execute work activities and develop sequences of steps to get work completed.
Understand and follow company and industry safety rules, practices, and procedures.
Communicate with others, verbally and in writing, technical information, job procedure recommendations, and other work-related information.
Read, interpret and understand written or electronic information, maintain the information, and compile photographs of all completed installations.
Qualifications:
Required
Applicants must be 17 years of age or older.
Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
Home computer with internet connection.
Reliable transportation.
Available to work overtime and weekends.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and/or customers and effectively handle conflict situations.
Ability to speak English in a clear, concise manner in order to communicate with co-worker(s) and supervisor(s).
Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Applicants must qualify on a Physical Ability Test (PAT) prior to employment.
