Description

Hi, My name is Tim and I am an intermediate acoustic guitar/piano player who is looking for casual friends to play and learn with; I have reached the point in my musical journey where playing alone is no longer helping me learn and I am really wanting to have a few friends to just have a good time with and get away from the stresses of life with some friends. The urge to play with others is very strong for me. It is really hard for me to find compatible people because I am young (30) but the songs I want to play are very old and I am into Bakersfield Country which is very different from today's country music and most people in the north don't get down with it; I really love this genre and the artists within it, I just want to find a few people (regardless of age) that can get down with it but it seems like most people on here are either metal, rock, or just way beyond my skill level but I am pretty good and I can sing very well also. So that you can get a taste of the genre I'm into, here are a few tunes I would love to play: Love's Gonna Live Here - Buck Owens - : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8Yyxe20zGw The Race is on - George Jones - : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dj7ahuCHGbM Lucky Me - Moe Bandy - : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcLXYGALRU0 Love, Me - Colin Raye - : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8C-ct_YtorM I know that this taste is not for everybody but when I play these songs alone they sound good and make me very happy, I just wish I could find an acoustic base player and perhaps a percussionist that could harmonize and we would be all set. We don't need amps, mics, and metal stuff. Just pure acoustic music, harmony, and fun. We could really get good and have a ton of fun. If any of this sounds even remotely interesting, please don't hesitate to reach out. I have been looking a very long time and again I am good enough to catch an ear on the street, just not good enough to be a professional (yet) Thank You, Tim
