Summary: This is a 40 hour per week, full-time position with a possibility of overtime. Under the supervision of the Shop Manager, you will assist in delivering and picking up parts, maintain shop and assist mechanics as needed with basic equipment servicing. Essential Job Functions: Pick up and deliver parts as needed. Drive company vehicles for various reasons including but not limited to, emissions, oil changes, etc. Maintain inventory records. Label parts invoices properly. Assists with regular preventative maintenance on small engine equipment including but not limited to, chain saws, plate tampers and small power tools. Ex: change filters, change oil. Performs clean up duties in shop and vehicles which includes in part taking out the trash, sweeping, clean up around the shop, wash trucks and equipment. Other Important Duties: Performs other duties as assigned. May be required to work overtime. Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work hours is essential. Knowledge and Skill Requirements: Reads and follows simple to complicated instructions. Reads and understands reference books and complicated procedures and manuals. Ability to prioritize multiple parts pick-up and deliveries. Pays attention to details and observes safety precautions. Knowledge of safety hazards and precautions. Some knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Operation of various hand tools and cleaning equipment. Operation of computer, copy machine and cell phone and telephone. Operate various shop vehicles. Physical Requirements May be subject to bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling and lifting. May be subject to exposure to extreme weather conditions. May be subject to hazardous chemicals and fumes common to an automotive repair shop. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Education and Experience Requirements Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and MVR check.
