10 month shepherd mix

Hello!!! I"m trying to find a home for a Dutch Shepherd Collie mix. He belonged to a family friend who got him for christmas as a puppy and then later couldn't keep him in his apartment due to his size. He has been returned to me due to over excitement, but this can be corrected with training. He is also not neutered, once he is he is likely to calm down. Also he is still a giant puppy! His name is Shultz, he is about 11months and weighs about 70lbs. He has more to grow! We worked on him with commands like sit, shake, and down which he mastered. He loves playing fetch, and walks alongside you with a harness on. I do have a cat at home, he was curious and tried to smell her but she wanted nothing to do with him. So I don't know how well he does with cats, but he doesn't chase her. He is currently up to date with all shots. The main problem is he is too over excited and jumps on you. He is too clumsy and doesn't understand how big he is, and hurts people or other dogs by not being cautious and jumping on them or on furniture. He has lived outdoors and indoors. He is potty trained. I do think he would thrive more as an out door dog. He also has trouble understanding when someone is playing or trying to calm him down. There is no aggression from him whatsoever, but people can misinterpreted his playing. He loves cuddles!!
