Construction company in NYC seeking a Shop Foreman for woodworking shop located in Long Island City. We are looking for a highly motivated individual for a full-time position. Critical tasks & responsibilities include: - Must be able to read architectural drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, and shop drawings. - Must be able to calculate material needed for fabrication. - Must be able to follow project schedules & lead a team of up to 6 carpenters through the fabrication process. - Shop foreman regularly reports to the project managers in the design office. This position requires a working knowledge of shop machines/tools & the ability to complete on-site installations (residential, retail and commercial spaces). Additional requirements include: - Must have OSHA 40. - Must be able to speak fluent English. Spanish is a plus! - Must be able to commute to job sites in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. - Proper I-9 documentation upon hiring.
