A&J King Artisan Bakers is looking for a part-time disher and busser to work at our 48 Central Street location to help keep the front and back of house clean and in order. The job will also entail doing occasional prep and expediting of sandwich orders during busy times. Our cafe is set to open soon to in house dining again and we need an individual who wants to be a team oriented thread between the back and front of house to best serve our customers. We are an award-winning artisan bakery specializing in quality made breakfast pastries such as hand rolled croissants, muffins, scones, cookies, tarts and rustic and classic seasonal desserts, as well as hearth baked breads such as sourdoughs, baguettes, ciabatta, and whole grains. All of our products are made fresh daily from scratch ingredients. We source locally and regionally whenever possible. We also offer espresso and sandwiches in our café and run a wholesale program providing breads and pastries to area restaurants and shops. Winner of Best of Boston in 2009 and 2012 as well as Best of North Shore every year since 2008. But enough about us. Shift Hours and Duties: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 10am-3:30 pm These shift times will be evolving as we figure out the best shift times based on business rhythms. We are looking for someone who is flexible and who could potentially increase hours if the need arises. Duties: -Hand washing kitchen wares in a three bay sink such as pots, pans, food storage containers, and ceramic cups and plates. -Wiping table surfaces after patrons have used them, removing trash from the dining room, sweeping the floor and re-organizing the cafe tables and chairs as needed -Help put away inventory -Help expedite lunch station orders on busy days -Light food prep work, potentially.
