We are pleased to announce the return of our annual Fossil Day event! Because of the Covid situation, we will avoid enclosed spaces. This year's event will take place at the Tabernacle. Public hours 2pm to 6 pm. This free public science educational event is suitable for all ages. Bring your own fossils to share & discuss with experts!

Extraordinary collectors Dr. Henry Kriegstein and Duncan Caldwell
Dr. Susan Butts and Jessica Utrup of the Yale Peabody Museum
Paleontologist Jessica Cundiff and Erich Dieffenbach of the Harvard Museum of Comparative Zoology
Senior Scientist Scott Smyers of Oxbow Associates, Acton, MA
Undersea collectors and diving instructors/contractors Heidi Raihofer and Joe Leonardo
And additional Vineyard presenters
Participation of the Oak Bluffs Public Library and the Marine and Paleobiological Research Institute is with support from the Martha’s Vineyard Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. Use of the Tabernacle donated by the Martha’s Vineyard Camp Meeting Association.
